Hollywood star Jack Palance dies aged 87

Jack Palance - Death of veteran actor

The veteran US actor, Jack Palance, has died in California at the age of 87.

He starred in the classic western 'Shane' and was awarded an Oscar for the cowboy comedy 'City Slickers'.

He was born Vladimir Palahnuik in 1919, the son of a Ukrainian coal miner.
