Crawford - Admitted to having cosmetic surgery

Supermodel Cindy Crawford has admitted she has been using a cosmetic surgeon to maintain her looks for 11 years, stunning fans who assumed her beauty was natural.

In an interview the 40-year-old gave to French magazine Gala,  she admitted to using botox injections and collagen. "I'm not going to lie to myself," Crawford was quoted as saying.

"Past a certain age, creams work on the texture of your skin but, in order to restore elasticity, all I can really count on is vitamin injections, Botox and collagen."

The article said Crawford had admitted she had been receiving extra help with her looks since she was 29.

"I have a very simple, healthy life, which works miracles," she said. "I drink a lot of water, watch what I eat and exercise. But I owe the quality of my skin to my cosmetic surgeon."

The model has her own cosmetics line Meaningful Beauty that claims to reduce damage to the skin, using anti-oxidants and vitamins.
