Woman in her 70s dies following house fire in Limerick

A woman in her 70s has died following a house fire in Co Limerick.

Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene of the fire at a house on Wolfe Tone Street, Limerick, in the early hours of the morning.

During a search of the premises, the body of a woman was found.

The woman, aged in her 70s, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The scene is currently preserved for a technical examination and garda inquiries are ongoing.
