Murder trial hears teen was stabbed twice

O'Loughlin & Mason - Deny murder charge
A murder trial in Limerick has heard that a 19-year-old man stabbed a 16-year-old twice after he discovered him in an upstairs bedroom of his home with two teenage girls.
John O'Loughlin of Cecil Street in Limerick and Anthony Mason of Bishop Street in Limerick both deny the murder of Roman Vysochan in Limerick on 10 May 2008.
An outline of the events that led to the murder of the 16-year-old at the Carrig Mhide housing estate near Corbally in Limerick was put to a jury at the Central Criminal Court sitting in Limerick today.
The victim, along with his 17-year-old friend, called at the O'Loughlin home that evening.
Mrs O'Loughlin had left earlier and the two teenagers were invited in to the house.
They went to the bedroom along with the two teenage girls.
Mr O'Loughlin and Mr Mason, who were in town with friends, became aware of the two teenagers at the O'Loughlin home and went there.
It is the State's case that both men went into the bedroom with knives and Mr O'Loughlin stabbed Roman Vysochan twice and stabbed his teenage friend in the leg.
Mr Mason is charged with murder because he acted as part of a joint venture with Mr O'Loughlin.
The two victims managed to escape from the house, but Roman Vysochan collapsed on the roadside nearby and died a short time later.
The trial before a jury of eight men and four women continues before Mr Justice Paul Carney.
