Copper Face Jacks night club in Dublin is for sale.

The night club, an institution in Dublin's night life since it was established 23 years ago, is part of the Jackson Court Hotel which is has gone on the market today.

The sale will be by private treaty and the business will be sold as a going concern.

The hotel comprises 36 bedrooms, seven bars and three beer gardens.

Owners Cathal and Paula Jackson have made the decision to sell the hotel and night club ahead of their retirement, and they have appointed Dermot Curtin of DC Curtin & Associates to handle and manage the sale for them.

"It is now time to hand over the reins to new owners who have the energy and the expertise to take Coppers to the next level and to continue to deliver the "best night out in Dublin" to all our great and loyal customers," Mr Jackson said.

The selling agent has not indicated the price of 'Coppers' but market sources suggested it could reach up to €40 million.

Much of the value lies in the five buildings that make up the property on Harcourt St.

In 2017 the company behind the venture, Breanagh Catering Ltd, recorded pre-tax profits of €4.1 million.
